Terms & Conditions

When making an online-booking with PURE BIKE TOURS (hereafter referred to as PBT) along with appropriate deposit/s. A contract will come into existence between you (the Client)and PBT (the Organiser) in conjunction with the Terms & Conditions laid out in this document. Your booking with us is governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and is subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom (and European) Courts.

  1. Consumer Protection: Purebiketours complies and adheres to/with the European Council’s Directive 90/314 CEE on Package Travel and also with The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 No. 3288 (Statutory Instrument UK), which cites that all money paid by the customer to the tour Provider/Organiser (based within the UK and Europe) is fully protected until the contracted tour/holiday has been completed.
  2. Your Responsibility
    You participate with PBT knowingly as a competent rider and do so entirely at your own risk. Understanding that motorcycle touring in India involves a certain amount of risk and we further ask please show respect and courtesy to your fellow riders.

  3. Our Responsibility
    At our discretion, any rider seen taking unnecessary risks en-route will have their journey terminated, thereafter travelling in one of the support-vehicles for remainder of the tour. No reimbursement given.

  4. Motorcycles
    Riders must be prepared to experience the Royal Enfield. In essence, Classic motorcycling and British in design, The Royal Enfield was introduced into India from Great Britain back in the 1950's when its original use was for Army manoeuvres. Times have changed, but the Classic chassis still holds its own. All our bikes used for the High Himalayan roads are the famous 500cc Bullet. Royal Enfield

  5. Booking
    On receiving your online booking, your deposit should reach our Nottinghamshire office within 8 days and two months prior to departure date. On receipt of the deposit, an invoice will be sent enclosing full details, including information required for visa application. From your online booking, it will be deemed you accept the Terms & Conditions set out in this document.

  6. Costs
    All our prices are fixed.

  7. Deposit and Balance payment
    35% - Deposit per person required when online booking
    65% - Balance collected at the hotel, New Delhi.

    Remaining 65% balance can be made either in Pound Sterling, Euros or US Dollars cash, as this makes paying for facilities easier en-route.

  8. Included:
    • all domestic transfers (within India) 
    • 500cc Royal Enfield Bullet
    • fuel, spare parts etc. It’s important for us to keep you going en-route
    • all accommodation (twin sharing hotels/guesthouse, Leh homestay)
    • luxury mountain & lakeside camping (exclusive for Purebiketours clients)  
    • permits for restricted areas (India-Tibet border) 
    • all breakfasts – lunches – dinners
    • guides/team leaders (English – French – German – and a little Italian)
    • medic/first aider

    • support vehicles

  9. Not included:

    • Flights   (please contact us for further details)
    • Visa      (details sent on tour reservation)
    • Travel Insurance, including medical and repatriation 
    • Entrance fees to world famous monument
  10. Flights
    Flights can be booked through Southall Travel Ltd and the carrier, Jet Airways.
  11. Accommodation
    Accommodation ranges from luxury hotel, guesthouses to camping and Leh-homestay. All accommodation is on same sex twin-sharing (couples double-room). Sometimes there might a single occupancy in a double room

  12. Single Room Supplements
    No single-room supplement.

  13. Documents
    You must bring with you appropriate travel insurance and documents as follows:

    • Full Motorcycle Licence - valid
    • International Driving Licence/Permit - valid (apply at main Post Offices, UK)
    • You are required to bring your travel insurance policy with you on tour. Please print off a photo-copy and keep it safe.
    • Without these documents you will not be able to take part in your chosen tour
  14. Cancellation
    If you need to cancel your booking, please do so in writing. If your cancellation is received more than eight weeks before your departure date, 50% of your deposit will be refunded. If cancellation is received less than eight weeks before the departure date, there will be no refund.

    If you are delayed or think you might be late. Contact details will be available and everything possible will be done to make alternative arrangements in order to meet further down the road. Extra costs may be incurred.

    No refunds given if a person/s leave a tour en-route.

    Our tours are planned several months in advance to avoid adverse climate conditions. However, changes will be made (en-route) if unfavourable weather hampers our progress.

    However, while on tour should any unforeseeable situations arise beyond our control, e.g. landslides, snowpack, earthquake or glacier movement. As safety is important, we will make changes en-route and detour to continue with the adventure.

  15. Tour Amendment
    If we find there are insufficient number of riders in a particular tour group. We reserve the right to amend that route for the smaller group, without diluting any of the characteristics of the tour.

  16. Insurance

    You are responsible for your travel insurance and it is a condition of joining any of our expeditions that you are covered against following: Trip cancellations and delays, full medical – accidental cover including repatriation, general liability – loss of luggage. Motorcycle cover is included in your costs.

    Snowcard activity travel insurance offer adventure holiday cover, which means you are in good hands when thinking of taking out a policy for your PBT expeditions. Please notify Snowcard of your Purebiketours adventure.

    Please be aware, that PBT or any of our agents will not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of your personal property.

  17. Health
    On some of our tours/expeditions, altitude sickness on the high-roads/passes can cause some riders problems. We take great care of those susceptible to such difficulties and make sure immediate action is taken. We take you down to acclimatise and then bring you back up to rejoin the tour. For general health advice and inoculations, please consult your GP. Please let us know if you have a medical condition that we should know about, and can take appropriate action when on tour.

  18. FCO
    Here at PBT, we very seriously uphold our clients personal safety as well as our own and would not jeopardise anyone's life by taking tours to places where conflict or political unrest is standard-practice.
